A Sweet Newborn Session with Baby Beckham | Utah Newborn Photographer
There are some newborn sessions that I remember long after the session is over, and this sweet little guy's session is one of them. Baby Beckham was such a tiny little newborn when I photographed him at just four weeks old. He had arrived six weeks early, so even at four weeks old, he was still so little!
And the best part? He slept through almost the entire session. That made it possible to capture so many of those sweet, sleepy newborn details that I love so much.
We started the session with family photos while big brother was there. With a two-year-old involved, we knew we might have to work with whatever mood he happened to be in that day! Two-year-olds have a way of keeping newborn photographers on their toes. 😉 But even with a little toddler determination, we were able to capture some really beautiful moments together.
I especially love the images of Mom and Dad each holding their new baby. We also managed to get some precious photos of big brother sitting with Dad and helping hold his baby brother. In one of my favorites, he even leaned over to give his new baby brother a little kiss on the forehead. Those are the moments that make sibling photos so special.
Once we finished the family portion of the session, we were able to focus on Baby Beckham by himself. He was an absolute dream to photograph! We used a soft combination of cream, light blue, and light green throughout his session, creating a simple and timeless look that kept the focus right where it belonged — on him.
We captured several sweet wrapped poses, including one where he gave us the tiniest little smile. And of course, we had to include a special little white dragon from his family in one of the images. Those personal touches can make a newborn gallery feel even more meaningful.
Looking through these images again reminded me just how quickly these tiny newborn days disappear. Four weeks old, especially after arriving six weeks early, felt so incredibly small — and these photographs preserve just how tiny he was at the beginning of his life.
And then there's the final family image in this post. Let's just say...not every toddler is going to cooperate until the very end! While the little guy was clearly over it, Mom and Dad were laughing, and honestly, I love that image because it feels real. Family photos don't always have to be perfectly posed and smiling. Sometimes the pictures that capture the chaos and personality of a family end up being some of the most memorable ones.
It was such a joy to photograph this sweet family and document their first days as a family of four.
If you're looking for a Utah newborn photographer to capture your baby's first days, I would love to help preserve these fleeting moments for your family. My newborn sessions include plenty of time for family and sibling photographs as well as beautiful portraits of your new baby.
