Six Month Milestone Photos with Big Brother | Utah Baby Photographer
Six months is such a fun age to photograph! Babies are starting to show off more of their personalities, those smiles come a little more easily, and you get to see more of the little things that make them unique.
I’ve had the chance to photograph these two sweet kids several times, so it was fun to see little sister back in the studio for her six-month milestone session! This time, we included big brother, too, for some photos of the two of them together.
We kept most of the session simple with a white seamless backdrop and soft white curtains. I love this clean, timeless look because it keeps the focus on the kids, their expressions, and all those little details you’ll want to remember. We captured photos of them together, individual portraits of each child, and a few of my classic black-and-white personality portraits.
One of my favorite little details from this session was seeing a familiar expression make another appearance. In her newborn gallery, I had captured a photo of her smiling with her tongue sticking out. At six months, she did it again! She gave me several more adorable tongue-out smiles, and it was such a fun little connection between her newborn and milestone photos.
And of course, we had to get some photos of big brother! At around two years old, he was a busy little guy with plenty of things to explore. Photographing toddlers can be an adventure, especially when they have their own ideas about how a session should go! Thankfully, we were able to capture some really cute photos of him, along with some sweet moments of the two siblings together.
We finished up with a special setup just for baby girl, using a cream wood backdrop, a sweet cream dress, and soft pink layers underneath. It was a simple variation from the rest of the session while still keeping everything light and neutral.
I love being able to photograph families as their little ones grow, from those early newborn days to sitting up, smiling, and showing off more of their personalities. Six months is such a fun milestone, and these two made it a memorable one!
