2 Year Cake Smash | Orem Family Photographer
It's always so fun celebrating a little one's milestone with a cake smash session, and "A"'s 2-year cake smash was just as fun as a one year! As an Orem family photographer, I love capturing these special moments, even when I get to work with a shy little guy like "A".
For his session, I created a nice and minimalistic setup that still put all the focus on 2 year old "A". Mom wanted shades of light blue and beige for the backdrop. I was able to make a cute balloon arch with some cardboard arches to create just a touch of color into his backdrop. I think this just added a really soft, playful touch and I really liked the simplicity of it as it really helps his personality shine through in his photos.
2 year old "A" was a little hesitant at first, but when I brought out the wooden toy cars, he started to warm up. The cars were such a hit and really helped bring out some quick smiles that I was grateful I was quick enough to capture! :) When it was time for cake, he did poke at it a little carefully, exploring the texture and sweetness, demonstrating his gentle and sweet personality!
